Does the Defender System reduce theft?
Yes, the Badge, which has been designed to draw attention, is placed in a clearly visible position on the asset, acting as a strong deterrent to any perpetrator.
The warning of police registration ensures that illegal resale can be traced.

Can the Defender Badges be removed?
No, the low-odour acrylic bonding system gives a overlap shear strength of 4400 psi and is not dissolvable.
Removing the Badge will cause irreparable damage to the asset as you would need to remove the surface of the item.

Can I have my Logo on the Badges?
Yes, up to four colour with a printing area of 33mm x 11mm on the centre of the Badge.
You will need prepared artwork, and pricing will be in accordance with quantity and colours.
How long does it take to have my equipment Badged and receive my Asset Database?
The Badging takes less than 3 minutes per item and the relevant data is recorded during this time.
The information collected is then entered into the database and made ready for FTP download. It can also be burned to CD.

What happens if I want to sell the equipment or asset?
We will re-register the sold asset free of charge, giving extra value to the item.
If the asset is donated to a charity it will be registered to that charity, ensuring that it will used for the purpose that you intended.

How long do the Defender Badges last?
The Badges are laminated, the ink will be visible for 7 years the adhesive will remain in situ for over 25 years.
The Badges can be kept clean and looking new by replacing the plastic opaque seals every year.
How do the Police use the Defender Database?
The police use the unique asset number on the Badge to locate the item in question giving them in depth details of ownership.
Does it make a difference to my Insurance premiums?
The Defender database gives you the ability to furnish your insurance company with accurate details of your assets and their value, thus ensuring you are not over-insured or under-insured.
Many insurance companies give discounts to organisations that put in place extra security procedures to discourage and protect against theft or to recover stolen property.

What assets should I Badge?
PC's, Servers, Docking Stations, Laptops, Laptop Cases, HDD's, Routers, Monitors, Printers, Telephones, Cell Phones, Furniture, Electrical Equipment, Pictures, Paintings, Projectors, Machinery, Laboratory Equipment....
How will you bond Badges to my oil and grease saturated machinery?
The Defender bonding system can bond oily metal, plastic and other substrates with minimum preparation.
Can I add my own information to the database?
Yes, as the databases are written in Microsoft Access, you can add any type of information, even confidential fields that will only be on your own in-house copy of the database.
You only need submit the information fields that you want to, to the police or Defender999.

What is the cost?
As all companies have varying numbers of assets each contract is priced individually, some organisations order through multiple departments so need generic pricing.
